Congratulations Hector!

Congratulations Hector!

We have happy news to share. It’s happened, the best kind of fail…a foster fail! Hector has officially upgraded from a temporary guest to a permanent family member.

4 year old Hector came into care in June with significant aggression issues. It was then discovered he had untreated anaplasmosis, a tick borne disease which results in very painful joints and muscles, as well as loss of appetite.  He was underweight, had elevated liver enzymes which caused other issues, he was still intact which didn’t help with his aggression, and he had severe separation anxiety.  His foster family has worked with him on trust, they have been by his side through all his ongoing medical issues, and continue to work to help him with his anxiety.  It’s very clear he needs to stay in this current calm, stable environment for both his physical and emotion well being.

Although this might be called a foster fail, we consider this a success story! Thank you Mark & family for opening your hearts and home — and congratulations on your newest family member!
