This handsome 16 lb little gentleman is now looking for someone to love him forever. He is 12 yrs old (don’t let his age fool you, he loves de-stuffing toys like a puppy!). Oscar tutu settled into his foster family’s life and picked up on their routine quickly. Early to bed and early to rise – but when reminded it’s the weekend he will stay snuggled in.
He is a master at finding sunbeams on the floor! Loves naps and food (hey, he is a dachshund!) His favorite time of the day is breakfast, supper, and puzzle time . He even likes med time! De-stuffing toys is a job he takes very seriously while relaxing with his people in the evening. He really is a true prince as he prefers walking on pavement (rather than grass or sand). However he wants you to know carrying him is just fine as well. 
Oscar tutu is not a fan of being left alone – unless he’s in sunbeam mode, then he doesn’t seem to notice anyone has left!
We were told he resource guards furniture, but there hasn’t been any sign of that with his foster family. He does occasionally feel the need to protect his person, but is easily corrected.
Oscar tutu is on medication for arthritis in his front legs and eye drops for occasional dry eyes. He would love a home with someone home more often than not, no children, and due to his masculine bark no apartments.
This guy is the total package…he is house trained, quiet, takes treats gently, and is very well mannered. He is up to date on vaccines, flea and tick prevention.
