On the one year anniversary of Rory finding his happily ever after home, his mom Andrea shared an update with us….
….A year ago, we opened our hearts and home to Rory (previously Romeo).
In the very best way, our lives have been impacted by his big feelings, his uber-intelligence, and his devotion to his animal siblings and human family. We have never encountered a dog this smart and he amazes us daily with his ability to pick up on things and intuitively know what is required of him.
He loves so hard once you’re part of the ‘in’ crowd. His morning cuddles and kisses are the very best way to start the day and even his puppy sister needs these to greet every morning. Harvey the cat, not so much. Rory is trying to make friends with Harvey, brings toys to him trying to urge play…but Harvey says that’s never going to happen.
Rory’s ball obsessions is beyond anything we’ve seen before and must be time managed. There is NOTHING more exciting than his ball although his bond with Sean (hubby) is a close second. Rory is Sean’s shadow.
We are just tickled that we were chosen by Rory and Wendal’s Way Dachshund Rescue, and we look forward to a lifetime of shenanigans.
