Sweet 15 year old Rosie came into our care with her sister Charlie earlier this year. But as sometimes happens, things change, and now she’s urgently looking for a very special foster home to hang her hat for the rest of her life. Since she came into care she has had some back issues treated by medication (and is now fine!), been diagnosed with Cushing’s disease, and now dementia. She’s on daily medications to help her with all these things and they’ve really helped her maintain a good quality of life. Like many older dogs, she has very limited sight but you’d sure never know it watching her navigate her environment! And just like humans, she also needs mental stimulation to help with her dementia. This could be a walk, a sniff / lick mat, or her favorite puzzle toy – nothing complicated nor time consuming, but it does need to be consistent. Mostly though, this sweet girl still has a lot of spunk, life, and love left to give. As with all of our sanctuary fosters, every facet of her care is fully supported by WWDR – all medication, food, and vet visits are paid for.
